Can I open a bank account online without going to the bank?

Yes, you can open a checking account online. You must be 18 or older to apply online. 17 and under must open at a branch.

What documents do I need to open a bank account online?

No matter how you apply, you'll need the following:

Your Social Security number Valid ID (driver's license, state ID, Consular ID) Current residential address $25 opening deposit

IDs required to open (plus co-applicant’s information if applicable).
