动物和宠物一直都是雅思口语中十分常见的题目，因为比较贴近生活，所以也很好回答。而这次的这几道小题甚至不再怎么询问大家与动物有关的经历，而是大而化之，只问大家是否喜欢，养没养过宠物。进一步降低了难度。

What is your favorite animal? Why? 你最喜欢的动物是什么？为什么？

Well, the raccoon is my favorite. The reason why I’m quite into it is that I’m fascinated by its cute appearance. I saw a piece of news on social media reporting that raccoons even use their lovely images to ask for food from passers-by, which is so interesting.

我最喜欢的动物是小浣熊。我喜欢它的原因就是我特别着迷于它可爱的外貌。我曾经在社交媒体上看到一则新闻报道说小浣熊们还会使用它们可爱的外表来向路人讨吃的，真是太有意思了。

What is the most popular animal in China? 哪种动物在中国最受欢迎？

It should be the panda. Although it is a fierce animal and can even fight against tigers, its cute appearance and clumsy movement simply make people forget how powerful it is and fall in love with it. Have you ever had a pet before? 你曾经养过宠物吗？

Yes, I have. But that was a long time ago. I remember it was during primary school time that my mom brought me a cute Persian cat to keep, which made me feel so excited.

是的，养过。不过那是很久以前的事情了。我记得是在我上小学的期间，我妈妈给我带了一只可爱的波斯猫让我养，当时我兴奋极了。

Where do you prefer to keep your pet, indoors or outdoors? 你喜欢在哪里养宠物？室内还是室外？

If I had a choice, I would like to keep it outdoors. I think it is good for them to live in the open air and get close to nature. But unfortunately, I only have a small apartment now. So it has to stay indoors with me.

如果我有选择的话，我想在户外养宠物。我认为生活在外面，亲近自然对他们也有好处。但不幸的是，我现在只有一间小公寓。所以它不得不跟我待在室内。
